About Friends of Cville Downtown

Friends of Cville Downtown, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created in 2021. Our mission is to make Charlottesville a better-than-ever, more inclusive place for everyone by working with city government and the community to craft strategies and programs that stimulate Downtown social and economic vitality.

Friends of Cville Downtown is a forum for fresh ideas and a catalyst for advancement of the common good. We will provide leadership on critical issues, and work to define and implement 1-, 3-, 5-, and 10-year innovation plans and strategies to expand smart and connected transit, safety, sanitation, housing, economic development and community inclusivity.
