This May celebrate the return of spring in Downtown Charlottesville! Presented by Friends of Charlottesville Downtown.

Flower Market

April 25th from 2pm to 6pm at the Ting Pavilion

Celebrate the beginning of spring at the second annual Flower Market! Featuring local vendors, there is something for every flower and greenery enthusiast to enjoy. Come support small businesses and connect with the community!

Local nurseries, farms, florists, and other small businesses, sign up to be a vendor at the Flower Market here.

Flower Box Competition

The Flower Competition is back this May! The competition will run throughout the month of May following the Friends of Charlottesville Flower Market on April 25th at Ting Pavilion. Take a stroll and enjoy the city in bloom! Businesses, sign up here to participate.

Downtown Express

Saturdays, May 4 - 26, 10am - 2pm, Central Place

Hop aboard the Downtown Express and take a spin around the Mall! Rides will be offered starting in Central Place on Saturdays from May 4th through the 26th from 10am to 2pm. Tickets are $5 per car.

Tickets are only available for purchase in person (Cash or Venmo).
Each car fits 6 people - kids & adults
Rides run every 10 minutes starting at 10:00 AM.
Your ticket lists your ride time time and car color (no more waiting in line)!
All proceeds support Downtown!

Art Connections

Art Connections is back for the second year on the Downtown Mall! Featuring artwork from K-12 art students in Charlottesville City Schools! The show will run from April 27th through May 30th at participating businesses. Businesses, sign up here to participate.

Flower, Fairy and Elf Festival

May 18th on the Downtown Mall in front of City Hall

Wake up the flowers with a fun kids parade up and down the Mall! There will be balloon artists, face painting, and more!
