The Friends of Cville Downtown Express is back! The train will be running on St. Patrick' Day from 10am to 2pm on the Downtown Mall. Rides are free and will begin at Central Place and travel on a loop around the Mall!

Dusty Hedgehog will bring 6 musicians to play traditional Irish music in Quirk's Lobby 6:00-9:00pm. Grab plate at their Irish food buffet- enjoy corned beef and cabbage, colcannon, fish & chips, Irish soda bread pudding, mince pie ($25 per plate) and sip on a draft Guinness or get an Irish Whiskey flight at Bobboo 5:00-10:00pm. Modeled on the Post Hunt in DC, the Cville Puzzle Hunt will take you on a wild afternoon running around trying to untangle five diabolical, large-scale puzzles inserted into the urban landscape.
The Cville Puzzle Hunt is most fun with a team of your friends. Teams can be any size, but we suggest 3 – 6 people.
After preliminary announcements at 2:30 p.m., the Hunt kicks off with an opening clue at IX Art Park. Puzzles will take you throughout downtown Charlottesville, eventually landing back at IX Art Park for vinyl record spinning, the End Game, and the solutions reveal.

Profs and Pints Charlottesville event explores how music shaped Ireland with Professor Christopher Dobbins. The talk covers Irish music's history, culture, and global influence, from traditional tunes to modern bands like Flogging Molly. The discussion includes unique features of Irish music, melodies tied to specific places and events, and artists like Sinead O'Connor and The Cranberries. Everyone on hand will feel at least a little more Irish by the time they go home!

Everyone is Irish on St Patrick's Day, so come join in on the festivities! The fabulous Albemarle Pipes and Drums are returning along with the Blue Ridge Irish Music School dancers, performing Irish tunes and jigs.
Celebratory beers will be on draft, with wine and other specialty beverages available all day. Billy Pie pizza will also be available for purchase including a unique Irish-themed pizza for the month of March.
