The Virginia Discovery Museum is proud to partner with Charlottesville Symphony to present interactive, hands-on musical education programs to visitors. Learn about the brass, percussion, string, and woodwind families of instruments as we meet different musicians, listen to musical storytimes, and enjoy instrument demonstrations.
Who is the world’s very best hide-and-seek player? Join percussionist I-Jen Fang and guest reader Linda Smith as they search the African savanna for the crafty Freeda the Cheetah. Then try to create your own sound with a variety of percussion instruments during an instrument “petting zoo”.
